Vision Our vision is of a day when all patients who are given a brain cancer diagnosis are told they have a manageable disease. History Brain cancer remains one of the most extraordinary complex, virulent, and "orphaned" diseases. In addition to the lives of patients, brain cancer has a profound effect on family members, friends and colleagues. All of those touched by this devastating disease share a deep desire to improve the prognosis and treatment options for patients and, ultimately, cure brain cancer. When one of Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure's founders, Dan Case, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2001, he devoted his energy and passion to lend hope for brain cancer patients by working to accelerate a cure for brain cancer. Together with his brother, Steve Case, their families, leading entrepreneurs, scientists and researchers, Dan formed Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure to fill the desperate need for new and effective treatments to conquer this devastating disease. |
