In Memory of Dr. Bernadine Healy, Former Head of NIH and the American Red Cross

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure extends our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Dr. Bernadine Healy. Dr. Bernadine Healy passed away on Saturday, August 6 from a recurrence of brain cancer. She was the former director of the National Institutes of Health and the American Red Cross.

In 2007, she wrote a compelling article for US News and World Report about her battle with brain cancer.  Click here to read about her journey after being diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma in the left side of her brain.
