Deana’s commitment to the brain tumor community began in 2009 when she joined David Cook’s Team for a Cure for the Race for Hope in DC. After managing the team for the first year she became the official Co-Captain of David’s team for the next three years and looks forward to year 5! Last year, she helped plan the Night of Hope Benefit at the State Theatre. An opportunity arose to join the ABC2 staff full time and Deana jumped at the chance. A true philanthropist at heart, she knew this was the right move for her. As Senior Project Manager, she is looking forward to working full time on the Florida Brain Cancer 5K, assisting with the Race for Hope and cultivating new ABC2 events.
Prior to joining ABC2 Deana spent almost 7 years at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions as a Sales and Marketing Manager. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Theatre Arts with a focus on Stage Management and is a founding member of a movement based theatre company in Philadelphia. When she is not doing her philanthropic work, Deana is an avid music lover and enjoys doing graphic design work for her musician friends.
